Tom Pidcock leaves INEOS
Tom Pidcock and Ineos Grenadiers would have reached a mutual agreement to definitively separate their paths. Such news was unthinkable just a year ago, but after months of uncertainty in which both parties have distanced themselves, journalist Daniel Benson has broken the news awaiting official confirmation in the coming hours.
Tom Pidcock will not continue with the INEOS Grenadiers team
Tom Pidcock and Ineos Grenadiers have a contract until 2027, but their relationship is said to have irreconcilably deteriorated over the past 12 months. During this time, Pidcock's fate seemed to be pointing towards the Continental team Q36.5 Pro Cycling and although those negotiations were broken off a few weeks ago, it now seems to still be the most likely option for the British rider.
It was rumored in a leak that Pidcock was not willing to terminate a valid contract with which he is among the highest-paid cyclists in the world, earning 4 million euros per year until 2027, and that even INEOS had offered to pay part of his next salary if he left the team.

The double Olympic MTB champion appeared just a few days ago at an event with part of the team and shortly after was in Manchester during the team's first concentration, it seemed they had built bridges to fix the situation, but days later Pidcock did not travel to Denia where INEOS is holding its first concentration.
It was in Denia where the rest of the cyclists and team personnel were informed of the amicable agreement by which Ineos and Pidcock have decided to part ways.
As we mentioned, an official confirmation is expected in the coming hours and in the coming days we may learn more about his destination for 2025.
