Thule has introduced a new bike carrier that stands out for having a design that allows you to safely hold a wide range of bikes. The Thule Epos will be able to support a total load of 60 kg and 3 bikes and will be priced at approximately €1,153.95.

Thule Epos, the "innovative" bike rack that aims to be as versatile as possible

Bike carriers are a must for those who, now that the good weather is upon us, take the equipment to spend the day in a Bike Park; as well as for those who organize a weekend trip to destinations a little far away or for those who take the bike on vacation to the village.

Now, the well-known company Thule has presented in society its new member of the family: the Thule Epos, a bike carrier suitable for (almost) any type of bike that boasts ease of assembly and versatility.

The aspect that Thule highlights the most is the "innovative telescopic arms". These are very flexible, easy to use and are partly responsible for the great versatility of the product, thanks to the pivoting head and reinforced straps that give many attachment options to securely attach almost any bike.

The Thule Epos allows bikes to be attached to any part of the frame or the rear wheel and "adapts to all types of frames and geometries". In addition, they are loaded separately independently and the process is fast.

"The installation process requires minimal effort and loading and unloading the bikes is incredibly simple," said Thule's Director of Bicycle Product Management, Baptiste Chaussignand.

Another advantage of this bike rack is that it can be folded flat for easy transport and storage when not in use.

Up to three bicycles with a maximum load of 60 kilos

The load capacity of the Thule Epos is 30 kilos per bike, taking into account that three bikes can be transported but the total weight should be at most 60 kilos.

On the other hand, it can be adapted to very different frames, as it works on those between 20 mm and 90 mm in diameter. As for wheel diameters, there should be no problem either: Epos allows wheels between 16" and 29" and tyres up to 3.2" (the brand sells separately an accessory strap to reach 5").

In addition, bikes loaded on the bike carrier will have a 250 mm clearance and it has integrated LED lights.

Global Design Director Henrik Eriksson said it is "great" and that "we have been able to use all our bicycle knowledge, combined with engineering knowledge from a long line of bike carriers".

The Thule Epos will be available for purchase from May 15th and, although the retail price is unclear, it is estimated that the two-bike version will cost around €1,050.95 and the three-bike version €1,153.95.
