The SCOTT Strike is reinvented for 2027 with 150 mm and the more powerful Bosch CX
SCOTT completely renews its Strike for 2027. The new generation maintains its orientation as a versatile Trail eMTB, but features a new aluminum frame, 150 mm of travel, a geometry focused on comfort and control, and the latest evolution of the Bosch Performance Line CX, capable of delivering up to 120 Nm. The range will consist of four models.
New SCOTT Strike: an eMTB to make Trail more accessible
The new SCOTT Strike 2027 comes with a somewhat different philosophy than the usual race to create increasingly radical eMTBs. The Swiss brand has focused on three aspects: comfort, power, and ease of use and maintenance.
To achieve this, SCOTT claims to have worked alongside users and distributors to identify which features are truly useful in a dual suspension eMTB. The result is a platform designed for both long routes and shorter outings that, while prioritizing predictable and comfortable riding, maintains figures typical of a true Trail.

All Strikes use 29" wheels, an aluminum frame, and 150 mm of travel both front and rear. The rear suspension is articulated through a four-point kinematics, and the frame features a UDH interface.
150 mm of travel and a geometry designed to gain confidence
One of the keys to the new Strike lies in its riding position. SCOTT has sought a relatively upright posture and a relaxed geometry that facilitates bike control and reduces physical demand during many hours on it.
The rear suspension is very linear and offers 150 mm of travel, aiming to combine sensitivity and comfort with enough support to tackle technical terrain.
The geometry makes its intentions quite clear. The head angle is 64.8° across all sizes, while the seat angle is set at 77°. The chainstays measure 465 mm, and the reach ranges from 430 mm in size S to 505 mm in XL. The Strike will be available in sizes S, M, L, and XL.
New aluminum frame with semi-integrated shock
SCOTT has also specifically worked on the construction of the frame. The motor mount and seat tube form a single-piece cast aluminum part, a solution with which the brand aims to better control stiffness and strength, reduce the number of welds, and decrease manufacturing variations.
Visually, the position of the shock stands out particularly. Instead of completely hiding it within the frame, as is the case in other SCOTT models, the Strike adopts a semi-integrated solution.
The shock is positioned very low and partially protected by the frame. According to SCOTT, this arrangement helps lower the center of gravity and contributes to achieving a more stable behavior, while maintaining much easier access to the component.
Bosch Performance Line CX with up to 120 Nm
The Bosch Performance Line CX is another major player in the new Strike. With the Performance Upgrade 2.0 update, the system can reach 750 W of maximum power, up to 120 Nm of torque, and an assistance level of up to 600%.
SCOTT combines the motor with an 800 Wh Bosch PowerTube in the Strike 10, 20, and 30. The Strike 40, the entry model in the range, uses a 720 Wh PowerTube.
Additionally, the frame is compatible with the Bosch PowerMore of 250 Wh, so in the 800 Wh versions, it is possible to achieve a combined capacity of up to 1,050 Wh for routes where range is a priority.
The main battery is removable via a cover located on the down tube, facilitating both its charging outside the bike and its replacement.
Less integration to make it easier to maintain
One of the interesting aspects of this new generation is that SCOTT has not sought to completely hide all components and cables.
The Strike combines internal and external routing. The electrical cables run through the head tube and top tube, while the mechanical ones initially run on the outside and then enter the down tube through a specific metal guide.
This decision aims to simplify operations such as maintenance or battery removal, as well as to avoid unnecessarily tight cable runs.
A new motor protection inspired, according to SCOTT, by motocross has also been installed. It is the thickest motor cover the brand has used so far and can be easily removed to access the Bosch unit.
Additionally, there are tool-free magnetic covers, electrical connections prepared for installing front and rear lights, reinforced mounting for the kickstand, and additional points on the down tube for carrying tools or accessories. There is also compatibility with fenders.
