The 2026 Red Bull Rampage starts today: CEST schedule, favourites and where to watch for free
The Red Bull Rampage 2026 begins this Thursday, October 8, with an edition that marks 25 years since freeride first landed in the mountains of Virgin, Utah, and the organization has decided to return precisely to the original venue of 2001 to celebrate the 20th edition of a competition that has become the great reference of global freeride.
The women's event will kick off the program this Thursday, and the men will compete on Saturday, October 10. In both cases, the scheduled start time is 18:00 (CEST), although discussing fixed schedules at Rampage always requires remembering that wind and weather conditions prevail and can cause delays, interruptions, or even postponements at practically any moment.
Red Bull Rampage 2026: dates and times (CEST)
The planned schedule for the two finals is as follows:
- Thursday, October 8: women's final at 18:00 h, (CEST).
- Friday, October 9: day without competition.
- Saturday, October 10: men's final at 18:00 h, (CEST).
As always happens at Rampage, these times should be understood as provisional. Many lines cross completely exposed ridges and link huge drops and gaps where a side gust can make it impossible to jump safely.

Therefore, if the wind increases in the higher areas, the organization and the riders themselves may decide to stop the competition and wait. It is relatively common for schedules to be modified even during the day itself.

The Rampage returns 25 years later to the mountain where it all began
One of the major novelties of this edition was announced a few weeks ago: the Red Bull Rampage 2026 returns to the original venue used in 2001 and subsequently in the editions of 2002, 2003, and 2004.
However, the mountain that the riders will find now will have little in common with that of those early years. The starting point has been placed approximately one third higher than the one used by Wade Simmons when he won the first edition, and the maximum drop now reaches 206.5 meters, the highest of all the locations used to date by Rampage.
Additionally, this will be the first edition in which the men's and women's competitions will share the same venue. In the last two editions with a women's category, men and women built their lines in different areas of the mountain. This year, there will be around 30 lines crossing through the walls and ridges of the original terrain.
The formula continues to be what makes Rampage unique. There is no predefined circuit established by the organization. Each rider studies the mountain, chooses their path, and, accompanied by a team of two diggers, hand-builds a line that attempts to combine difficulty, exposure, flow, jump amplitude, creativity, and tricks.
The participants of the Red Bull Rampage 2026
The organization initially announced 30 participants, 18 men and 12 women, a list that we already reviewed when it was confirmed that Bienvenido Aguado would return to the Red Bull Rampage 2026.
However, since then, several withdrawals and significant changes have occurred.
Female participants
- Robin Goomes (New Zealand)
- Hannah Bergemann (United States)
- Georgia Astle (Canada)
- Casey Brown (Canada)
- Chelsea Kimball (United States)
- Harriet Burbidge-Smith (Australia)
- Janelle Soukup (United States)
- Kirsten Van Horne (Canada)
- Mikayla Parton (United Kingdom)
- Natasha Bradley (United Kingdom)
- Vinny Armstrong (New Zealand)
Vaea Verbeeck was initially invited, but an injury suffered a few weeks before Rampage prevented her from arriving on time. Her spot was taken by the first alternate, Natasha Bradley, who will debut at the event.
This absence has been joined at the last minute by Cami Nogueira. The Argentine suffered a severe fall during training while jumping The Minister, one of the biggest drops on her line. Although she was able to leave the area on her own, she later confirmed that she had fractured several bones and would not be able to compete in the final this Thursday.
At the time of preparing this preview, there is no official confirmation of a substitute for Nogueira.
Male participants
- Hayden Zablotny (Canada)
- Thomas Genon (Belgium)
- Tom Van Steenbergen (Canada)
- Tomas Lemoine (France)
- Reed Boggs (United States)
- Talus Turk (United States)
- Cam Zink (United States)
- Finley Kirschenmann (United States)
- Bienvenido Aguado Alba (Spain)

- Johny Salido (Mexico)
- Kade Edwards (United Kingdom)
- Kaidan Ingersoll (United States)
- Paul Couderc (France)
- Szymon Godziek (Poland)
There has also been a withdrawal in the men's category. Tom Isted will not be able to compete on Saturday after fracturing a thumb while working on the construction of his line. A rock that fell from above hit his hand while he was working.
Ryan McNulty was listed as the first alternate on the original men's list, but for now, there is no sufficiently clear official confirmation of his inclusion, so we do not include him among the confirmed participants.
Bienve Aguado returns to represent Spain
Among all of them, there will be special attention from Spain on Bienvenido Aguado Alba, who received one of the ten original wildcards to return to Utah.
Aguado has become one of the most recognizable Spanish names in international freeride over the last few years and already knows what it means to be a protagonist at Rampage. In 2023, he received the Best Trick, Kelly McGarry Spirit Award, and People's Choice awards, and now he faces a particularly interesting mountain due to the possibilities offered by the new venue.
The men's level will be extremely high even with Isted's withdrawal. Hayden Zablotny returns as the reigning champion, Thomas Genon and Tom Van Steenbergen arrive after completing the podium in 2025, and Cam Zink is one of the few participants who can boast of having already competed at the original Rampage venue.
Robin Goomes could achieve a historic third consecutive Rampage
The great female reference is once again Robin Goomes. The New Zealander won the first official women's competition at Rampage in 2024 and repeated victory in 2025, so this Thursday she has the opportunity to become the first rider to achieve three consecutive wins.
She had a tough time last year. Hannah Bergemann was just a few tenths behind, and Georgia Astle returned to the podium, while this year names like Casey Brown, Harriet Burbidge-Smith, Kirsten Van Horne, or Vinny Armstrong complete a very high-level participation.
Mikayla Parton and Natasha Bradley will also face their first participation in Rampage.
This is how the Red Bull Rampage 2025 ended
The last edition left two very different stories. Robin Goomes won again among the women with a score of 89.50 after completing a line full of tricks and technical steps. Hannah Bergemann was just 0.17 points behind.
Top 5 female Rampage 2025
- Robin Goomes — 89.50
- Hannah Bergemann — 89.33
- Georgia Astle — 87.66
- Cami Nogueira — 87.33
- Kirsten Van Horne — 84.50
The men's event ended with one of the biggest surprises in recent years. Hayden Zablotny won Rampage in his first participation after receiving a zero on his first run and responding in the second with a spectacular score of 96.00.
Top 5 male Rampage 2025
- Hayden Zablotny — 96.00
- Thomas Genon — 94.35
- Tom Van Steenbergen — 94.00
- Tomas Lemoine — 93.66
- Reed Boggs — 90.33
The weather is once again a key factor
The weather reappears as one of the factors that can decide how Rampage unfolds.
The most recent forecast for Virgin points to a very warm and sunny day this Thursday, with temperatures around 33 °C. For Saturday, a drop in temperatures is expected, and instability increases, with the possibility of showers and storms during the second half of the day. The National Weather Service currently places the probability of precipitation on Saturday at around 30%.
But more than the rain, the critical factor at Rampage is usually the wind. In the upper areas of the mountain, riders navigate very exposed ridges before facing jumps of enormous dimensions, so a seemingly moderate intensity at ground level can turn into dangerous gusts in the higher parts.
