Specialized launches an Ultralight version of the Turbo Levo R: under 19 kg, 111 Nm, and only 100 units

When Specialized presented the Turbo Levo R earlier this year, it did so as a clear commitment to lightness and agility without giving up a full power electric system. Now it takes the concept to the extreme with its new S-Works Turbo Levo R Ultralight LTD.

Now the American brand takes that concept a step further with the new S-Works Turbo Levo R Ultralight LTD, a limited edition that offers a completely new setup designed to reduce weight to the maximum. The result is a bike that goes from 21.1 kg of the previous S-Works Turbo Levo R to 18.84 kg, maintaining the same price of 13,999 euros and keeping the 850 W maximum power and 111 Nm torque electric system intact.

The same frame, the same motor, and the same philosophy

The Levo R Ultralight starts from the specific FACT 11m carbon frame, developed exclusively for the Levo R and approximately 530 grams lighter than that used in the equivalent Levo 4.

It also retains the internal SWAT storage, side access to the battery, adjustable geometry, and a suspension scheme of 140 mm in the front and 130 mm in the rear, designed to provide a faster and more efficient ride than a conventional e-MTB Trail. 

And it is equipped with the Specialized 3.1 S-Works motor, with 850 W of maximum power and 111 Nm of torque, along with a 600 Wh integrated battery, compatible with Range Extender. The assistance continues to be managed through the SuperNatural Power Delivery technology, designed to provide a progressive and natural response based on the cyclist's effort.

Ultralight Setup

Specialized has configured the lightest setup it has ever made on a full power Levo platform, using some of the most exclusive components from its catalog and the market to reduce weight without compromising the bike's dynamic behavior.

Among the most notable elements are the FOX 36 SL Factory fork with GRIP X cartridge, the FOX Float Factory GENIE shock, the electronic transmission SRAM XX Eagle Transmission AXS, the Roval Control SL VI carbon wheels with Industry 9 Solix hubs and Vonoa carbon spokes, the integrated Roval Control SL Rise cockpit, the BikeYoke Revive 3.0 dropper post, the S-Works Power Mirror saddle with carbon rails, and striking Trickstuff Piccola two-piston brakes with carbon levers and titanium hardware. 

All of this allows the declared weight to be reduced to 18.84 kg in size S3, placing it below the 19 kg barrier while maintaining a high-performance electric system.

An e-MTB designed to go faster

According to Specialized, the goal of this setup is not only to reduce weight on the scale. The brand claims that a lighter bike accelerates faster, changes direction more quickly, and allows for more precise handling on twisty trails and technical sections.

This approach aligns with the philosophy with which the Turbo Levo R was born, conceived as the fastest and most agile variant of the Levo family thanks to its XC Trail geometry, with a more forward position on the bike and a low center of gravity to favor both climbing efficiency and descending control. The geometry remains fully adjustable via the headset with three positions, adjustable bottom bracket, and flip chips on the chainstays.

The same price as the previous S-Works Levo R

One of the most striking aspects of the launch is that Specialized maintains the price of 13,999 euros that the previous S-Works Turbo Levo R already had. In other words, the brand replaces the previous top-of-the-line setup with this new Ultralight configuration, much more exclusive and lighter.

The bike will arrive in a limited edition of only 100 units for the entire world. During the first fifteen days after its launch, it will only be available through Specialized.com and, afterwards, if there are still units available, distributors will be able to request them through the Order For Rider (OFR) program.
