Pogačar gets his own action figure and animated series as Continental unveils exclusive tires

Continental has just presented a limited edition of one of its most popular road tires, the Grand Prix 5000 S TR, developed in collaboration with Tadej Pogačar. A version that maintains the technical characteristics of the original model but incorporates an exclusive decoration and a collectible figure of the animated character "Pogi".

Continental launches a special edition of its GP 5000 S TR dedicated to Tadej Pogačar

The new Continental Grand Prix 5000 S TR Pogačar Edition comes in a single size of 700x30c, with a declared weight of 300 grams and a completely black finish featuring the personalized details of the Slovenian cyclist.

The launch continues the relationship between both parties, which began in the sports field and expanded in May 2025, when Pogačar became an ambassador for Continental with the aim of promoting safer coexistence between cyclists and drivers.

The main difference of this edition lies in its aesthetics. Continental has designed specific sidewalls that include Pogačar's name, the logo of the character "Pogi", and hundreds of small logos of Tadej Pogačar integrated into the Grand Prix 5000 S TR labeling itself.

Beyond this customization, the tire retains the technologies of the conventional GP 5000 S TR, one of Continental's benchmark competition models. No modifications to its construction or specific performance improvements over the standard version have been announced.

Among its features are the BlackChili compound, developed to combine low rolling resistance and grip, the Vectran Breaker puncture protection, and Active Comfort technology, designed to reduce vibrations transmitted by the asphalt.

It also maintains the Lazer Grip treatment on the shoulders of the tread, designed to improve cornering grip, as well as the Tubeless Ready construction compatible with hookless rims.

"Pogi", the character with which Continental aims to improve road safety

This limited edition also has a component that goes beyond sports material. Continental and Pogačar have created an animated character named "Pogi", the star of a series of videos that are part of the Share the Road campaign.

The initiative aims to promote mutual respect between drivers and cyclists, reminding that roads are a shared space for all users.

To convey that message through the product, each box of this edition includes a small collectible figure of "Pogi", making the tire also an item aimed at fans of the Slovenian rider.

Hannah Ferle, product manager for road at Continental Tires, explained that with this edition they wanted to combine the performance of a tire proven in competition with an initiative focused on achieving safer roads for cyclists.

The brand has also released an animated video featuring Pogi to accompany the launch.

Price of the Continental GP 5000 S TR Pogačar Edition

The new tire has a retail price of 109.95 euros. This edition is aimed at both cyclists who already use the GP 5000 S TR tires and collectors and fans of Pogačar looking for an exclusive product linked to the rider.

Continental has not yet specified the number of units that will be produced of this limited edition nor a specific date for availability in Spanish stores.
