Pinarello renews the DOGMA X with a new frame, M40X carbon, and X-Stays 2.0 system
Pinarello renews one of the most unique bicycles in its catalog. The new DOGMA X arrives as a profound evolution of the model originally presented in 2023 and maintains its particular commitment to combining high-level performance with greater capacity to tackle long days on all types of roads.

The new Pinarello DOGMA X evolves its frame and adopts the carbon from the DOGMA F
The Italian brand places this bicycle alongside the competition DOGMA F and the gravel DOGMA GR at the top of its range. But while these last two have much more defined objectives, the DOGMA X aims to occupy an intermediate space with a high-performance all-road proposal.

The most recognizable feature of the original DOGMA X was its peculiar X-Stays design, and Pinarello has decided to maintain this concept, although introducing significant modifications.
The new generation debuts the X-Stays 2.0 system, now formed by a structure of double upper arm and four connection points. Additionally, the connection with the seat tube has been positioned lower.

According to Pinarello, this new architecture allows for a more efficient distribution of vibrations from the asphalt through the four connection points. The lower position of the system also aims to reduce frame rebound to achieve a more controlled and comfortable behavior on poorly maintained roads.
The goal remains the same as that which gave rise to the first DOGMA X: to offer a fast and responsive bicycle, but capable of reducing fatigue when hours and kilometers begin to accumulate.
The Pinarello DOGMA X adopts M40X carbon
Another major change is found in the construction of the frame. Pinarello has used Torayca M40X carbon fiber, which we also find in the latest generation of the DOGMA F.
The brand highlights its high tensile modulus and claims that this material has allowed for the manufacture of a lighter and more resistant frame. However, the arrangement of the fibers and the design of the DOGMA X have been specifically optimized to achieve a smoother and more comfortable behavior than that of a bicycle developed exclusively for competition.

More aerodynamics and stiffness for the new DOGMA X
Although comfort over long distances is one of its main hallmarks, Pinarello has also taken advantage of this renewal to improve the aerodynamic performance and behavior of the bicycle.
The new DOGMA X incorporates a elliptical-shaped head tube combined with a wider head tube. This solution aims to reduce aerodynamic drag while simultaneously increasing the torsional stiffness of the front end.

The down tube has also been redesigned. It is now narrower and adopts a progressively sharper profile with the aim of reducing drag and increasing lateral stiffness.
Additionally, the fork features closed dropouts to enhance airflow around the front wheel.
All these changes should translate, according to the Italian brand, into a more responsive bicycle during climbs, fast on flat terrain, and with a more precise and stable behavior on high-speed descents.
Up to 35 mm tire clearance
The versatility of the new Pinarello DOGMA X is particularly evident in its ability to fit tires up to 35 mm.
This figure significantly expands the possibilities of the bicycle and allows for the use of current larger volume tubeless tires to increase grip, control, and comfort on roads with uneven surfaces.

The new generation is also compatible with SRAM UDH, thus increasing the configuration possibilities of the frame.
Fausto Pinarello, president of the company, defines the new DOGMA X as "the ultimate all-terrain bicycle" and explains the philosophy of the model:
"Like the DOGMA F, it offers exceptional responsiveness, stiffness, and acceleration, but with a carbon layout and design optimized for the road surfaces we encounter daily."

The top executive of Pinarello also emphasizes that the performance of this bicycle has not been conceived solely in terms of maximum speed.
"It is a bicycle built for cyclists who understand that true performance is measured by the ability to maintain position and power over different distances and terrains."
Configurations and price of the new Pinarello DOGMA X 2027
The new DOGMA X will be available in the colors Moonlight Frost, Etna Lucente, Aqua Veil, and Jade Eclipse, the latter exclusive to the launch.

Starting from July 24, it will also be incorporated into Pinarello's MyWay customization platform, from which it will be possible to configure different color and design combinations.
The range will include setups with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2, SRAM Red AXS, and Campagnolo Super Record groups, as well as options with Campagnolo Bora WTO 4S, DT Swiss ERC 1100, and Princeton Grit 4540 wheels.
The price of the frame kit of the new Pinarello DOGMA X will be 6,700 euros, while complete bicycles will start from 14,900 euros.
