Pidcock already has a summer schedule and will be at the XCO World Cup in Switzerland 6 days before starting the Tour

In a recent interview, British Tom Pidcock has cleared up all doubts about his summer schedule. Yes, he will be competing in the Tour de France and in the MTB Olympics, but he will also have time to compete in the XCO World Cup in Cras Montana just 6 days before the Tour begins.

Tom Pidcock continues to combine cyclocross, road cycling, and mountain biking like very few cyclists are able to do, as we saw during the performance he gave in the last XCO World Cup in Nove Mesto just a month after winning the Amstel Race and in full preparation for the Tour de France. And that leads us to one of the most varied and crazy calendars in the world of cycling. 

Even for super cyclists like Mathieu van der Poel, it was physically challenging to switch from road cycling to mountain biking that he eventually had to give up the knobby tires, but that's not a problem for the British rider. In the same interview where he detailed these dates, he stated that even though he doesn't train much MTB, he is able to transfer his road training to this discipline.

 "I don't train on my mountain bike as much as I should, but they are quite interchangeable." "Of course, now, at this time of year, I am doing longer efforts, in preparation for the Tour, more volume. But they all complement each other."
