However, INEOS Grenadiers faces a serious problem if they want to get rid of Tom Pidcock: the termination clause in his contract amounts to a whopping 12 million euros, which they naturally do not want to pay, so they are trying to find any legal loophole in the contract to avoid such a large payout. On the other hand, Pidcock, despite not having the team's favor, is earning 4 million euros per season, something that will last until 2027 and he has no intention of giving up, and given his poor results on the road, it is unlikely that anyone else will pay him, so at this point, the ball is in the team's court as the rider will try to hold on to what was signed.
