Pidcock debuts new wheels and the colors of European champion on his new Pinarello DOGMA XC
Tom Pidcock had not competed in an XCO event for almost a year, and his return could not have had a more symbolic setting. The British rider has been in the World Cup in Nové Město for a couple of days, a circuit where he has never lost in the elite category and where he will also debut his new Pinarello DOGMA XC and the European champion kit he won last summer in Portugal for the first time.

Tom Pidcock debuts his new Pinarello DOGMA XC European champion in Nové Město
Pidcock's performance in mountain biking during the past season was almost anecdotal in terms of the number of races, but tremendously effective in results. In all of 2025, he only competed in two XCO events, and yet he managed to become European champion and win the World Cup in Andorra. Since that continental victory, he had not returned to compete in MTB, and we had not yet seen the final version of his bike and equipment in the European colors.

The return also comes at a very special circuit for him. Nové Město is one of his favorite races and a setting where he has always performed at his best. Every time he has started there in the elite World Cup, he has ended up winning, which automatically makes his return one of the major focal points of attention for the weekend.

The Pinarello DOGMA XC is also very much a personal project for Pidcock. The Italian brand did not even have mountain bikes in its catalog before starting the development of this model, and the British rider was involved from the beginning in the creation of the bike. Pinarello designed the DOGMA XC specifically with his needs in mind, and the rider actively participated in the development until its commercial launch in 2024. In fact, even before it officially hit the market, Pidcock had already managed to win the World Championship with it.

His arrival at the Pinarello-Q36.5 project in 2025, last year, marked a significant evolution in the bike's setup. Since then, he has been using the complete SRAM XX SL Eagle Transmission ecosystem, along with RockShox Flight Attendant suspensions and the new SRAM Motive Ultimate brakes. And this year, he adds one more component from the SRAM group, which is the ZIPP 1Zero Hitop SW wheels with a 21.5 mm profile.

But beyond the components, what is most catching attention in Nové Město is the new European champion aesthetic. White completely dominates the frame of the Pinarello DOGMA XC and also the outfit designed by Q36.5, with a total white jersey and shorts to match.
However, the shorts are generating quite a bit of commentary in the paddock. Completely white shorts in an XCO event, especially on a circuit like Nové Město where mud tends to appear easily, can quickly become a risky idea. To avoid uncomfortable situations, Q36.5 has opted to integrate a large black panel on the front of the crotch. A very visible detail that partially breaks the completely white aesthetic but clearly seeks to offer a bit more peace of mind to the rider.

Another detail that has not gone unnoticed is his shoes. Although Q36.5 has some of the most advanced road models on the market, the brand still does not have specific XC shoes in its catalog. That is why Pidcock continues to use customized Specialized S-Works Recon shoes, easily recognizable by the huge golden "Pidcock" that occupies practically the entire shoe.

We still do not know if Pidcock will compete in the Short Track in Nové Město; he appears on the start list, but the organization communicated that he would not be there. What is certain is that he will be present on Sunday in the XCO event, where he will once again face the best specialists in the world after almost a year away from the discipline.
