Pauline Ferrand-Prévot will compete in the Road World Championships
After winning the gold medal at the Paris Olympics, Pauline Ferrand-Prevot announced that in 2025 she would switch to road cycling with the Visma - Lease a Bike team in pursuit of a victory in the Tour de France. But the change of discipline has been brought forward and this weekend she will be at the World Championship in Zurich.
Pauline Ferrand-Prévot will be at the Road World Championship in Zurich
The Andorra World Cup was Pauline's last MTB race and many of us thought it was also the end of her season. We were wrong. The French rider will still have at least one more important event and it will be this weekend in Zurich with her national team.
Pauline may have been away from professional road cycling for a few years, but we must not forget that in 2014 she was the World Champion in Ponferrada, something that should serve as a reminder that this cyclist has talent for any discipline. In fact, she is the only cyclist (men and women) who has so far managed to win the rainbow jersey in road cycling, cyclocross, and MTB.

Since that World Championship in Ponferrada, the INEOS cyclist had only competed in road races in some national championships until the end of the season, but now she has just been included in the French team that will be at the World Championship in Zurich. Alongside Ferrand-Prévot will be Juliette Labous (dsm-firmenich PostNL), Cédrine Kerbaol (Ceratizit-WNT), Marion Bunel (St Michel-Mavic), and Évita Muzic, Léa Curinier, and Jade Wiel (FDJ-SUEZ).
