Pauline Ferrand-Prevot reappears after a period of disconnection
World champion Pauline Ferrand-Prevot did not have the end of the season she wanted in 2023 and shortly after disappeared from social media, her Instagram account even completely disappeared. A couple of weeks ago she returned to explain the reasons for her absence and now we see her for the first time with the new INEOS Grenadiers kit for 2024.
Pauline Ferrand Prevot reappears after her vacation period to recover from COVID
The current XCO world champion Pauline Ferrand-Prevot had us accustomed to starting the season by seeing her compete in some cyclocross races, but this year it has not been like that. The Frenchwoman has taken it more calmly than usual.
After winning the XCO World Championship 2023 last August in Glasgow, Ferrand-Prevot began to drag physical problems that prevented her from performing at her best in the last part of the season. So much so that she had to bring forward her end when she discovered that it was a Covid infection that was undermining her performance and recovery.

From there her profile on social networks dropped so much that even her Instagram account disappeared. Something strange in a cyclist like her who used to share her workouts and day to day on them. Only in mid-November did we know that she was on vacation in the Caribbean for a local race she won there with Dylan van Baarle.
On the last day of the year she reactivated her posts on Instagram and there she explained that she had taken 2 months to physically and mentally recover from the aftermath of COVID. Now she has started 2024 showing the new GOBIK kit that INEOS Grenadiers will wear this season.
Waiting for her or the team to confirm her schedule for this year, it seems clear that the Paris Olympics in mountain biking will be the big goal for this 31-year-old cyclist who has practically won everything in her sports career.
In addition, this could be her last year fully dedicated to mountain biking since she herself hinted that she would like to return to road cycling, not before Paris, and some rumors indicate that INEOS Grenadiers could be preparing a women's road team for the coming seasons.
