The Orbea Oiz 2023 has just made its competition debut with Lukas Baum and George Egger (Speed Factory Racing) at the Costa Blanca Bike Race. We have had the opportunity to see Baum's model close up and its particular set-up makes us think that they could be testing different configurations with a view to the next Cape Epic.

Baum and Egger, current winners of the Cape Epic, were among the first official Orbea riders to have access to one of the new Oiz 2023. But although they have been riding with it for some months now, this is the first competition in which they put Orbea's new full-suspension model to the test.

Orbea's Advanced Dynamics process has allowed them to improve and adapt each version of the Oiz up to this model, which only comes with a 120mm option.

We remind you that in its new version, the Oiz has stylised the frame to gain lightness, mounts 120mm suspension as the only option and its geometry has been adapted to make it more capable going both uphill and downhill. Here you can find the rest of the new features of this model.

Baum puts handlebar tape in the central part of the handlebar so that you can take up this position for longer and more comfortably. A perfect option for those who can go very fast for a longer period of time.
Baum has chosen a more conventional and absorbent rims, the Bike Ahead Three Zero with 30 mm width.
Garbaruk 40t chainring with SRM power meter, Shimano XTR crankset and Sahmurai puncture protection kit on the bottom bracket.
