Orbea Oiz 2023, the perfect bike for the Andalucía Bike Race
The new Orbea Oiz 2023 was presented just a few months ago, and it did so with important new features, such as a lighter, stiffer frame and 120 mm of travel at the rear. An update that once again puts the Oiz at the forefront of XC and XCM competition and makes it the perfect choice for an XCM stage race like the Andalucía Bike Race 2023. So much so that this has been the model and setup we have chosen for this race.
This would be our ideal bike for the Andalucía Bike Race 2023
The Orbea Oiz 2023 has barely been on the market for 2 months and we have already seen it win and stand on the podium of the best XCM races such as the Costa Blanca Bike Race or the Mediterranean Epic, and XC races with World Cup level, such as Los Internacionales de Chelva or the Super Cup of Banyoles. A confirmation that this is one of the mountain bikes of the year.
In Brujulabike we have been lucky enough to choose it to ride it in the Andalucía Bike Race 2023 and there we are checking that some of its new features, such as the 120mm, can make a big difference in demanding races like this one. For example, this longer travel and its geometry have allowed us to make mistakes caused by fatigue that with another bike could mean ending up on the ground.

Here you can find the chosen setup, which we think is ideal in terms of weight and performance for a race like this one. It does not skimp on comfort with 120mm suspensions and 2.4" tires but at the same time it does not give up maximum performance with exceptional stiffness and a very light assembly.
