During the Les Gets World Cup training sessions, we have been able to see how the Orbea Factory Team is testing what appears to be a new model of Oquo wheels. It is the first time we have seen them in competition and everything points to the team racing with them this weekend.

The Orbea Factory Team is testing new Oquo wheels in competition

Since their appearance a couple of years ago, Oquo wheels have become a standard of quality and performance in the market. The Orbea Factory Team has been competing with them since last season and the Oquo MP30LTD Carbon, the lightest and stiffest model for XC, has climbed onto the podium of the best races in the world, David Campos won the European XCC Championship with them.

But now, in Les Gets, we have seen for the first time what appears to be a new model that Oquo is developing directly in competition. The only information we have is what can be extracted from the images and the truth is that we have noticed them for the aesthetic change of the screen prints, which leave the gold matching the Fox suspensions for a matte and glossy black finish with the brand logo prominently displayed.

In more detail, we have seen that the rim is new, perhaps with a slightly lower profile and it seems to maintain the 30mm, and the hubs are also new and are branded with the Oquo logo.

We will surely see them more often in competition from now on and we will have the opportunity to see if it is a model in development, a version only for competition, or if it finally reaches the market.
