Ondrej Cink operated unsuccessfully on his cardiac arrhythmia
On his social networks, Ondrej Cink has just announced that he has undergone a scheduled heart operation but it has not gone as well as desired.

Ondrej Cink undergoes unsuccessful heart arrhythmia surgery
At the last World Cup in Vallnord, Czech rider Ondrej Cink was leading the race when we saw him veer off the track and had to dismount, something was wrong.
Shortly after, he himself announced that he had suffered an arrhythmia in which his heart had reached 220 beats per minute for 3 minutes. Since then, he underwent thorough medical monitoring that led to a surgical intervention scheduled for January 3, 2020.

But unfortunately things have not turned out as we all hoped, as Ondrej Cink explained:
"Unfortunately, the surgery did not go as we expected. The arrhythmia has not been discovered or provoked, which unfortunately sometimes happens to athletes. In our trained and large hearts, it's like looking for a drop in an ocean. That's life. But I hope my heart is healthy."

Despite this setback, it seems that Ondrej Cink will be able to continue competing at the highest level as before, and a few weeks ago he extended his contract with the Kross Racing Team until 2022.
