Öhlins renews its TTXAir, RXF38 and DH38 suspensions with key improvements in sensitivity, adjustment and compatibility
Swedish company Öhlins was purchased by Brembo earlier this year with the promise of bringing much of the technology they use in competition to their catalog. In this sense, they have just presented a significant update to some of their flagship suspension products for MTB, aimed at the trail, enduro, and downhill segments. Although they are not completely new models, the revised versions of the TTXAir shocks and the RXF38 and DH38 forks introduce technical improvements aimed at optimizing performance and ease of adjustment.
New TTXAir m.2 shocks: better feel and improvements in adjustment
The TTX1Air and TTX2Air shocks have been renewed under the m.2 designation. With this revision, Öhlins has focused its efforts on reducing internal friction and increasing sensitivity, aiming to bring their behavior closer to that of a coil shock. To achieve this, new seals and a system that improves contact with the ground and rear wheel traction have been incorporated.
Among the main novelties, compatibility with remote lockout systems such as Öhlins 3-Mode Remote, Scott TwinLoc, and Orbea Squidlock is included. The internal spacer system has also been redesigned to facilitate air volume adjustment and travel length, now without the need to disassemble the lower mount.

Externally, the new TTXAir m.2 shocks incorporate a redesigned adjustment dial to facilitate configuration and an updated aesthetic with more modern graphics. The TTX1Air, with a single body, is intended for more compact frames and linear suspension designs, while the TTX2Air, with a dual chamber, offers greater air volume and adjustment range.
Highlighted technical features:
- TTX1Air m.2: single chamber design | 390 g (190x45 mm)
- TTX2Air m.2: dual chamber design | unspecified weight
- High and low-speed compression and rebound adjustment
- Compatible with various travel lengths and sizes (165x45 to 230x65 mm)
- Price: €938
New RXF38 m.3 and DH38 m.2 forks: refinement without revolution
Öhlins' most robust forks, the RXF38 enduro and DH38 downhill, also receive an update. Both share the TTX18 hydraulic cartridge—tested at the highest level by Loïc Bruni, 2024 DH World Cup champion—and have been optimized to offer greater sensitivity, control in strong impacts, and progressivity.
One of the key novelties is the incorporation of a end-of-stroke spring booster, designed to soften the stops and offer greater adjustment range through volume tokens. The treatment of the bars has also been improved, now with a finish that reduces wear and improves response on small bumps.
