SCOTT Spark 2024: new prices, colors and setups

The SCOTT Spark 2024 is now a reality. The Swiss brand arrives with one of the highlights of the season by presenting the new version of the flagship that has brought so much joy to Nino Schurter. The model retains the same 2022 platform, although it varies some components such as the bet on the SRAM Eagle XX SL shift, as well as lowering some prices.

The Spark RC is a bike made to go fast in XC. A model that has earned its place as one of the references in the discipline and has an extensive curriculum of victories. If the 2023 version maintained the geometry and frame of 2022, this year continuity is given to the same platform.

The Spark RC range consists of eight models that present some changes in components and reduced prices. However, the renewal has bypassed some of them -Spark RC Pro, Spark RC Team and Spark RC Comp-, which remain unchanged. In addition, Scott has launched a bet to place the model Contessa -aimed at the female sector- in a higher performance range.

The Swiss manufacturer has preferred to cook the new batch of the Spark RC without touching any main ingredient. In this way, it maintains the characteristic shock absorber integrated in a 120 mm double suspension system -front and rear- with Twinloc -which offers three driving modes: Descend, Traction Control and Lockout-.

The geometry maintains the steering angle of 67.2º (modifiable) and the saddle angle of more than 75º. On the other hand, handlebar and stem are integrated, three types of carbon frames are offered -HMX SL, HMX and HMF- and 29x2.4" tires.

The main change this year is the use of the new SRAM Eagle XX SL shift. The arrival of the most exclusive quota of Eagle Transmission will only be available in the top-of-the-range models: Spark RC SL TR and Spark RC World Cup Evo TR. Even so, all models that carry the TR surname mount SRAM XX and X0 Eagle AXS Transmission electronic transmissions.

In addition, in some cases the shock absorber has been changed, while the Swiss brand is satisfied with the chromatic range repeats the colors it had in the previous catalog.

Lower prices

Scott has opted for some price reductions. Despite this update, the models that copy the assemblies from the previous year -the already mentioned RC Pro, RC Team and RC Comp- are left out. Beyond these, the cost of the Spark RC has dropped by an average of 6%.

Specifically, the RC SL TR lowers its price by 7% to 14,240 euros; the RC World Cup Evo TR remains virtually unchanged with a timid reduction of 0.35% and is set at 11,190 euros; the RC World Cup TR offers the most generous discount with a change of 10.82% to stay at 8,650 euros; while the RC Team Issue TR sets its price at 6,100 euros after a reduction of 6.14%.
