Oakley Tour de France 2023 Collection
Oakley has presented its 2023 Tour de France sunglasses collection. It is a limited edition composed of four models already in the catalog of the brand that now appear with exclusive designs inspired by the yellow jersey. Prices range from 155 euros to 265 euros.
Oakley wears yellow to honor the 2023 Tour de France
With the Giro still fresh in our memory, the Tour is just around the corner. With just 10 days to go until the start of the most important race of the year, Oakley thought it appropriate to take advantage of this moment to launch its collection inspired by the historic French round.
Specifically, Oakley has presented four special models of its Radar EV, Enconder, Sylas and Sutro Lite. After a few years in which more muted tones predominated, this time yellow -in clear reference to the jersey worn by the overall leader- becomes the undisputed protagonist.
RECOMENDADO
The U.S. company reports that they have painted them with the new speed splatter technique. The reason, they explain, was to give them "an impression of speed, direction and movement to represent the cyclists during competition".
As if it were a birth scar, all models have the Tour logo laser engraved on the lower right corner of the lens itself. In addition, a personalized microbag for storage is also included in all cases.
2023 Tour de France Radar EV Path
The main novelty of the Radar EV Path is that they come with a wider peripheral vision and, in the Tour version, they use Prizm Road Black lenses that enrich color, contrast and details, according to the brand.
They also feature Oakley's high-performance protective lens technology with HDO, Unobtainium nose pads for comfort and performance, and an O Matter frame.
Price: 225 euros
2023 Tour de France Encoder Strike
The main features of this model are perhaps the wider lenses and the air inlets on the top, with which Oakley intends to improve ventilation and allow air to flow "optimally".
The frame is also made of O Matter. The temples take on prominence, as they have a low-profile design that fits over hats and helmets. In addition, they have temple sleeves and Unobtainium nose pads for added grip.
Price: 265 euros.
2023 Tour de France Sylas
Perhaps the most casual of the collection, the Sylas, with a conventional design, are designed to be worn all day long. The brand claims that they are compatible with hats, available with Prizm lenses, three-point fit for comfort and lightweight thanks to the O Matter with which the frame is made.
Price: 155 euros.
2023 Tour de France Sutro Lite Sweep
Here again we come across a pair of glasses with ventilation at the top. In this case the curved lens of the Eyehade is combined with the Sutro frame. Oakley also highlights the impact protection that makes this a model with a good index of durability and comfort.
The material chosen for the frame is once again O Matter, the temple tips have molded sleeves to give a sense of grip and comfort and Unobtainium nose pads.
Price: 200 euros.
