New Trek Supercaliber SLR 9.9 Flight Attendant Gen 2
Trek has announced that it is expanding the Supercaliber family with the launch of a model that features Flight Attendant technology. The virtues of this system add to the proven IsoStrut in a new 458-gram shock absorber bearing the RockShox seal. The bike weighs 10.11 kg and is available for 12,999 euros.
Trek breaks the latest frontier of the Supercaliber with the new SLR 9.9 Flight Attendant Gen 2
Trek made one of the season's launches by revealing the new batch of the Supercaliber, one of the flagship models of the American manufacturer and one of the most sought-after XC bikes on the market. The Supercaliber Gen 2 arrived - among other novelties - with more fork and shock travel, renewed geometry, and two types of frames that supplied the seven members of the range. Despite these changes, the brand remained faithful and retained the philosophy that had given such good results in the first generation.
Now the most refined Supercaliber of the family appears on the scene, as Trek has chosen to include the Flight Attendant system in the most exclusive assembly. For this, it was necessary to create a new shock absorber that would combine this automatic suspension technology with the existing integrated structural shock absorber.

The Supercaliber Gen 2 had in the shock absorber one of its main buying arguments. Trek and RockShox engineers worked hand in hand to develop the RockShox SIDLuxe with the purpose of accommodating an improved IsoStrut; that is, the concept of a rear suspension system that allows the shock absorber to be part of the frame.
After this technological advance, Trek has also decided to mount the acclaimed Flight Attendant, which is based on an algorithm to operate the suspensions automatically and adapt the configuration almost instantly according to the terrain, conditions, and the rider.
To combine these two pillars of technology - IsoStrut and Flight Attendant - it was necessary to develop a specific shock absorber: the Rockshox SIDLuxe Ultimate IsoStrut Flight Attendant. The brand ensures that it offers an unparalleled level of customization in the market and is the ultimate competition package.
Although it is not possible to buy the shock absorber separately, cyclists who have a Supercaliber Gen 2 with RockShox SIDLuxe Ultimate IsoStrut with remote control can mount it. On the other hand, the Flight Attendant system as a whole increases the weight by about 220 grams.

Beyond the suspensions, the Supercaliber SLR 9.9 Flight Attendant Gen 2 comes with SLR carbon - 250 grams lighter than the SL, designed for pure competition, wireless electronic components, and integrated handlebars. It also comes with SRAM Level Ultimate 4-piston brakes and 160 mm discs, and accepts a maximum tire size of 29x2.4".
This Supercaliber increases the patterns that shape any other Supercaliber; it is a bike that prioritizes lightness, performance, and competition. This is evident in the carbon wheels Bontrager Kovee RSL, the integrated carbon handlebar-stem Bontrager RSL, and the wireless electronic XX SL AXS 12-speed transmission.
