Lee Cougan Crossfire Trail: the emergence of a trail ready to captivate
The American-Italian manufacturer steps into the spotlight with the launch of a new model that aims to inject a breath of fresh air into its catalog and meet the demands of a good number of cyclists. The creation revolves around versatility with which the brand hopes to convince both those who pedal in search of the highest level of performance and those who do it just for fun. Efforts in suspension, geometry, and carbon quality make up the rest of the main elements.
The Crossfire Trail is the first bike from the brand that boldly proclaims its trail nature. The foray into the discipline builds the foundation of the model on the knowledge acquired with the Crossfire 428 -Lee Cougan's XCM flagship-.

The refined suspension features a 120 mm travel fork, which the manufacturer ensures has a high level of performance thanks to the innovative SCS (Structural Crossbar System). The vertically positioned shock absorber helps lower the center of gravity and still manages to offer space to install two bottle cages -from size M onwards-.
The frame uses Torayca T1000 and T800 carbon to achieve a weight -with the shock included- of 1850 grams. Carbon bearings add the final touch to give it the agile and light character it boasts.
The Crossfire Trail also features the characteristic inverted diamond shape of the diagonal tube from the Crossfire 428 -a trait that adds identity and structural advantages, according to the brand-. The tube is hollowed out in the bottom bracket area, while the tube design has allowed increased stiffness in the bottom bracket and rear triangle.
Geometry is another key aspect and one of the main differences from the XCM version. The brand has opted for a 67.5° head angle, 75.5° seat tube angle, 438 mm reach, and 588 mm stack.
On the other hand, the Crossfire Trail accommodates tire widths of up to 2.4" on 30 mm wheels. The manufacturer has also opted for optimized hollow axles and oversized bearings. Additionally, it comes with the Granite Design x Lee Courgan multitool for the headset.
