Mondraker renews its Dune range for electric enduro
Mondraker rescues the Dune to convert it into a lightweight electric enduro bike that combines both maneuverability and performance of the most extreme ranges. The model comes with Bosch Performance Line SX motor, mullet wheels, and three different setups starting at 7,999 euros.
Mondraker Dune: electric assistance for an enduro of sensations and power
E-bikes are increasingly gaining a larger share of the cycling market, and brands are striving to respond to this trend that, for now, shows no signs of slowing down. Specifically, manufacturers are working to include in their catalogs the lightweight electric bikes, which, with a growing number of followers, have been in high demand for some time. Thus, Mondraker launched less than a year ago the NEAT -their first lightweight e-bike- and now they are back with the Dune.

The Mondraker Dune was born in 2009 with the aim of becoming a reference enduro bike -being the first bike to incorporate the acclaimed Zero Suspension System- and disappeared from the catalog in 2020. However, the Alicante-based brand now rescues the Dune with the goal of maintaining the enduro essence that characterized it.
The Dune is positioned, in short, halfway between the NEAT and the Superfoxy and the Level -the brand's more beastly enduro bikes; muscular and electric, respectively-.
The model is built on a Stealth Air Carbon frame weighing 2,650 grams -without shock- and features 170mm front suspension -except for the XR version, with 180mm- and 165mm rear suspension with the Updated Zero Suspension System kinematics -increased rigidity, absorption capacity, initial operating sensitivity, and reduced weight-.
The frame, characterized by angular shapes and flat sides, houses the Bosch Performance Line SX motor with 55 Nm, maximum power of 600 W, and four configurable assistance modes. Additionally, it is powered by a 400 Wh battery -with the option to add the Bosch Powermore range extender of 250 Wh-. It also comes with mullet wheels.
Mondraker has incorporated the Forward Geometry with a generous reach of 465 mm, 64º head angle, effective seat angle of 77.1º, and 445 mm chainstays. Except for the chainstays, these measurements change slightly in the XR version: reach of 460 mm, 63.6º head angle, and 77.5º effective seat angle
On the other hand, the Dune features internal cable routing through the head tube, fender integrated into the shock, rubber protections on the rear triangle, two bottle cage mounts, UDH derailleur hanger and clearance for up to 66 mm wide tires (2.6").
