Mondraker presents its first lightweight e-MTB. The Alicante-based brand names its creation NEAT and delegates electric assistance to the TQ-HPR50 motor and a 360 Wh battery. The model will be available in three setups and the weight is kept between 17.9 and 18.9 kilos.

Mondraker lands in the lightweight e-MTB category with NEAT

If electric bikes represent an increasing percentage of total sales, it is worth noting the recent emergence of lightweight electric bikes and the important role they are playing in the cycling scene. Hence the manufacturers' insistence on incorporating them into their catalogs. The latest to fill this market niche - for now - has been Mondraker.

The Mondraker NEAT is a lightweight enduro e-MTB on which the Alicante brand has worked for three years. With reduced weight, this model gains in maneuverability, agility, and speed compared to its conventional electric counterparts. Mondraker celebrates its entry into this category and is confident that it has endowed its newborn with all the necessary attributes.

The electric part is handled by the TQ-HPR50 motor -300 watts and 50 Nm-, which will be powered by a 360 Wh battery. The combination of these two elements reaches 3.9 kilos (a 160 Wh range extender can be added, weighing 950 grams, to increase autonomy by up to 50%).

The motor has three assistance modes -ECO, MID, HIGH- and a great ability to adapt to what the cyclist needs. With the app, you can fine-tune the settings of each of these modes with three other independent parameters: maximum power (between 30 and 300 watts), assistance (between 25% and 200%), and pedal response.

The frame is made of carbon; specifically, it is the Stealth Air Full Carbon, with a featherweight of 2.3 kilos. The brand explains that it has a new kinematic configuration: the shock absorber is in a lower position, with a more compact, rigid, and lightweight swingarm. This has other positive consequences, such as being able to use longer seatposts and having more space for water bottles.

Regarding the geometry, Mondraker wanted it to be specific to this category and sought balance in its measurements. In the end, the NEAT has a steering angle of 64.5°, effective seat angle of 76.5°, chainstay length of 450 mm, and reach -in size M- of 470 mm.

Any enduro rider must have a suspension system that meets the demands, and that's why Mondraker has decided to equip it with a 160 mm fork travel and 150 mm at the rear.

Finally, the brand emphasizes that NEAT comes with 4-piston brakes, silent motor, and specific wheels and tires for electric bikes.
