Mathieu Van der Poel becomes the European XCO Champion 2019
The Dutch Mathieu Van der Poel has just proclaimed European Champion 2019 in the XCO modality in Brno, Czech Republic. This title only increases the expectation of the Van der Poel phenomenon and its future in one modality or another.
Van der Poel dominates and wins the XCO European Championship
With the absences of the World Champion, Nino Schurter, and Thomas Flueckiger, the Dutchman Mathieu Van der Poel was the clear favorite to reach the victory.
From the first laps, Van der Poel took the head of the race and put almost 1 minute ahead with the first chaser. And so it has been until the finish line although in the end the Swiss Vogel could cut some difference. Mathieu Van der Poel has won the gold medal, Swiss Florian Vogel has been silver and also Dutchman Milan Vader has taken the bronze.
