Jordan Sarrou will miss the Nove Mesto XCO World Cup after suffering a hard fall during training in which he fractured his collarbone.

The French cyclist from the BMC Factory Racing team was recognizing the circuit on Friday morning when he had the fall. In the days leading up to it, rain had been the protagonist, but this morning the clouds began to give way to the sun, however, the circuit was still wet and details of how the accident occurred have not been disclosed.

The former world champion had finished among the top eight in the two previous XCO World Cup races in Brazil, currently he was fifth in the overall standings and was one of the podium contenders.

After receiving the diagnosis, Sarrou himself has announced on his social media that he will be out of action for the next few weeks and has not wanted to give a date for his return.
