GUAVA, a new gravel brand promoted by Andrés Iniesta and Bojan Krkić

Focused on gravel, a new bike company is born in Barcelona, with the support of footballers Andrés Iniesta and Bojan Kri? focused on offering the best experience riding their machines thanks to its wide range of customization possibilities and the option to test the bike before purchase.

GUAVA, gravel bikes from Barcelona

Founded by David Álvarez and Nacho Suárez, two friends passionate about cycling and with more than 25 years of experience in the sector, GUAVA is born, a new brand of bikes specialized in the booming modality of gravel and arrives backed by two first class sponsors.

The project, whose bikes are available from now on through its website, was joined as a partner by former FC Barcelona player Bojan Krki?, another gravel enthusiast since his retirement from football. As if that were not enough, his presence has served to have the support of the business incubator NSN Ventures, Andrés Iniesta's project to help entrepreneurs to start their businesses.

GUAVA was born based on the concept of direct distribution and contact with the customer, so the acquisition of their bikes is done from their website, with a single physical point where you can see their machines and arrange a product test located in the clubhouse that the brand has on the outskirts of Barcelona, a stone's throw from one of the favorite areas for local cyclists to get lost on their paths as is the Collserola mountain. In any case, we also have the option of testing the bike for 48 hours before deciding whether to keep it for good.

In this startup, GUAVA only has one model of bike, called Spot, which is equipped with a solvent setup with SRAM Force eTap AXS drivetrain, Volte carbon wheels and an integrated carbon cockpit made for this bike. In addition, in the near future they plan to incorporate a second more affordable setup based on SRAM Rival eTap AXS and aluminum components.

A frame with a modern style that accepts tyres up to 45 mm, 50 if we choose to use 650b wheels, and which draws attention to its useful storage space inside the down tube which is accessed by a magnetic cover under the bottle cage. The complete bike declares a standard weight in size M of 8.8 kg, which added to its attractive price of 5,299 € makes it a very interesting option to enter the world of gravel.

This GUAVA Spot is a bike completely designed, mounted and painted in Barcelona, which gives the brand a wide range of customization possibilities, allowing us to choose the frame colors and logos among the 160 predefined combinations or even contact the brand to opt for a completely customized design.
