Felipe Orts gets his first win for Euskaltel as Sofía Rodríguez triumphs at the Spanish Cyclocross Cup in Amurrio
Felipe Orts and Sofía Rodríguez have won the third race of the 2026 Copa de España de ciclocross, held this Saturday, October 31, in Amurrio (Álava). The Alicante rider achieved his first victory of the season and also his first since joining the Fundación Euskadi, while Rodríguez adds her second triumph in the national competition.
The El Refor circuit, measuring 2,900 meters, welcomed the riders with dry terrain and conditions that favored a fast race. The event, included in the UCI international calendar with C2 category, once again brought together many of the best national specialists.
Felipe Orts breaks away in the second lap and achieves his first victory in orange
Orts started the race setting the pace, although Raúl Mira (Nesta-MMR), leader of the Copa de España, managed to stay on his wheel during the early stages.
The situation changed in the second lap when the eight-time champion of Spain opened a gap that his rivals could not recover.
