Speed Factory Racing starts the season in the CBBR with a great number of favorites

As we already anticipated a few days ago, the Costa Blanca Bike Race 2023 will be the event in which a large number of specialists of the modality will start their season. Among them, the current winners of the Cape Epic Georg Egger and Lukas Baum, but they will not be the only ones.

Favorites for the Costa Blanca Bike Race 2023 

Marked as one of the most important XCM races on the calendar, the next edition of the Costa Blanca Bike Race will once again gather, from January 26 to 29, a large number of XC and XCM professionals who will share the starting line with the rest of the amateurs who want to start the year in the best way.

Germany's Georg Egger and Lukas Baum of Speed Factory Racing will be in the race for another year after Egger took the win in 2022 and served as the first step in a successful season that ended with his victory at Cape Epic 2022 over the best XCM riders on the planet.

But in the Costa Blanca Bike Race 2023 they will have to face a large list of favorites among which we find the former World Champion of the modality, the Colombian Leonardo Paez. The Spanish XCM champion Sergio Mantecón and his teammate Francesc Guerra, both from SCOTT Cala Bandida, will also be there. Pawel Bernas, current Polish XCM Champion, will lead the rest of the JBG2 CRYOSPACE team. The renewed Cannondale Vas Arabay team, with Roberto Bou at the head, will not miss this edition either. And another team that is a regular every year in the CBBR is the DMT RACING TEAM that will be present with Ieva Venckute, Andreas Miltiadis, and Filipe Francisco. The Icelandic XCM Champion Ingvar Omarsson will repeat in what he himself considers one of his favorite races, and the Estonian Janika Lõiv, XCO specialist, will debut in Calpe the colors of her new team for 2023, the KMC MTB Racing Team.
