Eurobike takes a step back with one of the major changes it had announced for 2027. After announcing just a few months ago that the fair would abandon its traditional June dates to move to September, the organization has rectified after listening again to the industry. The next edition will finally take place from June 30 to July 2, 2027, in Frankfurt, and, in addition, Eurobike confirms that it will continue to be held every year.

Eurobike listens to the industry and returns to June: the fair will remain annual

The Eurobike of 2027 is changing course again. Last May, the organization presented a significant transformation of its model that included moving the fair from September 1 to 3, 2027, a more professional format, and a deep internal reorganization.

At that time, Eurobike explained that the choice of September was precisely in response to consultations made among manufacturers, distributors, workshops, associations, and other representatives of the industry. However, the discussions held during and after Eurobike 2026 have now led to a different conclusion.Radical change in Eurobike: new dates, control center, and in search of major brands

The organization claims to have received a quite clear message from exhibitors, professional visitors, international partners, and advisory board members. There is support for the new format B2B concentrated over three days, but the industry prefers that Eurobike takes place earlier in the calendar and continues to occur every year.

The result is a significant rectification. The 35th edition of Eurobike will take place from June 30 to July 2, 2027, at Messe Frankfurt, returning almost to its traditional position within the international calendar of the sector.

"The feedback we received was clear on several key points, and we are responding accordingly," explains Philipp Ferger, managing director of Fairnamic GmbH. According to Ferger, holding the fair at the end of June and maintaining its annual frequency will provide a "stable and predictable" platform for the industry.

Three days exclusively for professionals and one Eurobike every year

Although the dates are changing, Eurobike maintains its commitment to regain weight as a major international professional meeting for cycling and ecomobility.

The 2027 edition will have three B2B days focused on product presentations, new technologies, business meetings, and relationships between manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and other sector players.

The new layout within Messe Frankfurt will also be maintained. Eurobike will occupy the halls 3, 4, and 5 around the Agora, in the eastern area of the venue. The central outdoor space will host test circuits and demonstration areas, while the Forum and Festhalle will be dedicated to events, meetings, and networking.

Among the new features, there will also be rooms that companies can book for private meetings. The organization wants to especially strengthen matchmaking and facilitate that manufacturers, suppliers, and executives from major companies can arrange meetings during the three days of the fair.

The international character will continue to be one of the pillars. According to data provided by Eurobike, approximately half of the professional visitors to the 2026 edition came from outside Germany, and its commercial network reaches more than 150 countries.

Alongside cycling, ecomobility will continue to gain space, especially in areas such as urban mobility, logistics, connected systems, and new transport solutions.

"We are convinced that the new date is the right moment for Eurobike within the international calendar of the industry," assures Matthias Pietsch, director of Eurobike.

Thus, the project presented a few months ago is corrected in two fundamental aspects. Eurobike 2027 will not take place in September, but from June 30 to July 2, and the fair will maintain an annual frequency. What does remain is the commitment to a more compact, exclusively professional event aimed at regaining its role as one of the main meeting points for the global bicycle industry.
