Ducati swaps horsepower for watts in its new cycling era: meet the Monoscocca and GraviaX with Italian carbon
Ducati has just presented its new generation of bicycles for 2027, and two of its major innovations are arriving for road and gravel. They are the new Ducati Monoscocca and Ducati GraviaX, two models with monocoque carbon frames manufactured in Italy and developed alongside the Zecchetto Group.
Ducati Monoscocca: monocoque carbon, integration, and up to 32 mm tires
The presentation took place at the International Bike Festival 2026, which is held from September 4 to 6 at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, and marks the debut to the public of the new stage of Ducati Cycling.

The MY2027 collection is completed with the e-MTB DM-160 R and DM-170 RR, but in the case of the muscular bicycles, Ducati has opted for two platforms clearly focused on performance. An aerodynamic road bike weighing 7.18 kg in its best version and a gravel racing bike that accommodates tires up to 50 mm.

The name of Ducati's new road bike directly refers to its construction. The frame of the Monoscocca is made of carbon fiber in a single mold, a process carried out entirely in Italy by the Zecchetto Group.

The goal is to optimize the relationship between stiffness and weight, especially in the areas involved in power transmission, while aerodynamically, truncated tail profiles and a high integration of components have been employed.

Ducati has not sought an especially extreme geometry for a racing-oriented bike. In size M, it has a stack/reach ratio of 1.42, with a head angle of 72.3° and a trail of 59 mm.
Another detail in line with the current evolution of road bikes is the tire clearance, prepared to mount tires of up to 32 mm.
The range will be available in five sizes, from XS to XL, and there will be both frame kits and two complete builds: Monoscocca R and Monoscocca RR.

Ducati Monoscocca R
The Monoscocca R will be the first complete bike in the range and comes with Shimano Ultegra Di2, Vision SC 45 wheels, and an integrated Vision Metron 5D SMR handlebar.

Ducati Monoscocca RR: Dura-Ace Di2 and 7.18 kg
The Monoscocca RR represents the highest build and replaces Ultegra with Shimano Dura-Ace Di2, in addition to incorporating Vision Metron 45 RS wheels and the integrated Vision Metron ACR 5D EVO cockpit. The result is a declared weight of 7.18 kg in size M and without pedals.

Ducati will also offer the Monoscocca as a frame kit for custom builds.
Ducati GraviaX: a gravel racing bike with space for 50 mm tires
The Ducati GraviaX shares with the Monoscocca the monocoque carbon manufacturing in Italy, but uses a platform completely adapted to gravel. Its geometry maintains a marked sporty character. In size M, we find a stack/reach ratio of 1.46, a head angle of 71°, and a trail of 64 mm.
Additionally, the two larger sizes employ a specific fork offset to maintain similar behavior as the frame size increases.

But one of its most interesting features is the tire clearance. The new GraviaX allows the installation of tires of up to 50 mm, although with double chainring transmissions, the limit is set at 45 mm.
These figures place it within the current trend of competition gravel bikes, increasingly with more volume and capacity to roll quickly over rough terrain.
Internal storage and bikepacking mounts
Despite this sporty focus, Ducati has wanted the GraviaX to cover a broader spectrum of use. The frame includes an integrated compartment in the down tube for carrying tools and has mounts intended for bikepacking bags and accessories.
Therefore, we are not looking at a gravel bike designed exclusively for competition, although geometry, weight, and build make it clear that performance has a priority role.
Ducati GraviaX R: Force XPLR AXS and 8.2 kg
For this model, Ducati will offer a frame kit and a complete model called GraviaX R with the following build:
- SRAM Force XPLR AXS
- Ducati G-Line carbon wheels
- Integrated Ducati G-Line cockpit with 6° flare
- Continental Terra 700x45 tires
- Novus Boost Evo saddle
With this configuration, Ducati announces 8.2 kg in size M and without pedals.
A new stage for Ducati bicycles
The Monoscocca and GraviaX are part of a new stage for Ducati Cycling developed alongside the Zecchetto Group. The experience in composites comes, among other areas of the group, from Diamant, specialized in the manufacture of carbon fiber components.

For the development and validation of the road and gravel bikes, professional cyclists with enormous experience such as Vincenzo Nibali, Elia Viviani, and Alessandro Petacchi, as well as Mattia Viel, have also been consulted.
The new Ducati Monoscocca and GraviaX will initially be available in Europe through authorized specialized dealers, Ducati dealerships, and the online channels of Ducati Cycling.
