The first gravel Commencal relies on aluminum and a very particular vision of the modality
Commencal has presented its first gravel bike, in which they have managed to reflect part of the brand's philosophy and offer a more versatile vision of the modality. The Andorrans have baptized it as 365, they remain faithful to aluminum and can be found in three different setups. The price starts at 2,000 euros for the most economical model and the frame weighs 2.8 kilos.
Commencal 365: personality in the brand's first gravel machine
With the increasing number of gravel riders, more and more manufacturers feel the need to have at least one gravel model in their catalog. The latest has been Commencal, the brand essentially dedicated to gravity and also part of the Enduro and Downhill World Cups.
Aluminum is perhaps Commencal's strongest hallmark. The Andorran firm is proud of its decision to use it in all its models, because it is convinced that the material is not the only parameter that determines the range of the bike.

The 365 was not going to be any different and, in the same spirit as the other members of the Commencal family, both the fork and frame are made of aluminum. A fact that meant they had to work on stiffness so that it can absorb vibrations when the terrain becomes uneven.
The Andorran's debut in gravel has shown a very marked personality that is far from the canons that usually prevail in the bikes of this modality. On the contrary, we are facing a more relaxed version of the gravel and that bets more on versatility and its more adventurous side.
A gravel with a lot to be discovered
Commencal defines its creation as a bike that is easy to ride and responds well to changes of pace when it's time to accelerate. Perhaps because of its MTB DNA, they have opted for a front fender and impact protection on the down tube and chain.
The mountain bike heritage is also evident in the choice of a short stem and wide handlebars. The fork together with the "flared" handlebars avoid overloading the hands and reduce fatigue in this part of the body often so punished by the terrain.
The relationship between these two worlds is such that the brand itself assures that they have taken on the idea of comparing the gravel bikes with the MTBs of the 90's but with today's technology.
Other characteristic features of the 365 are the single chainring, the dropper post, the 180 mm brake discs or the admission of a maximum tyre width of 47 mm.
In terms of geometry, another key, short chainstays (425 mm), long wheelbase (1056.5 mm) and 74° seat tube angle stand out.
