Long life to the mythical light blue color

Specialissima is synonymous in Bianchi's range of authentic competition climbing bikes, in fact, until the current version, it was one of the last survivors that maintained that classic look that has been disappearing from the ranges. However, aerodynamics have become a necessity in competition bikes and also this Specialissima received a slight profiling of its tubes to make it a versatile bike.

Now, the brand has wanted to squeeze the most out of its manufacturing capabilities and has commissioned its recovered Reparto Corse racing department to develop this limited edition that Bianchi is launching to the market.

A frame weighing only 750 g in size 55 that reflects all the racing heritage and style of the Italian firm that is hand-painted with a combination of its mythical light blue color that is complemented with an anthracite gray to decorate the central area of the frame, the same paint pattern used by Bianchi in the frames it provides to the French team Arkéa-Samsic. A Specialissima that complements in the range the super-erodynamic Oltre with which Bianchi surprised us last year by incorporating some peculiar aerodynamic deflectors.

A bike in which the brand seeks to collect all its heritage in the world of competition that dates back to 1885 when Edoardo Bianchi opened his small workshop in Via Nirone in Milan. No one could have imagined then that his bikes would be ridden by some legendary champions such as Fausto Coppi or Marco Pantani and that the characteristic light blue color of his bikes would attract a legion of fans of the brand who can find in this special edition of the Specialissima not only a collector's bike but a real racing machine ready to devour kilometers.
