The latest from Audi is this e-Tron inspired by Carlos Sainz's car
Audi is investing in the cycling market with the launch of the e-Tron 2023. This electric MTB is an enduro equipped with a 90 Nm motor and a 720 Wh battery. The bike is available in three sizes and is priced at €8,900.
Audi e-Tron, an electric MTB produced in collaboration with Fantic
The German manufacturer has put aside -for a moment- cars to present an enduro e-MTB called e-Tron. Although it has been years since Audi launched its first bike, with this move they intend to confirm the change of course towards electric mobility, with their sights set on the year 2026, when they will only manufacture electric vehicles.
The company explains that it has been inspired for the design by the Audi RS Q e-tron E2, the model with which Carlos Sainz and Lucas Cruz participated in this year's edition of the Dakar.

The e-Tron also features the Fantic brand, which has collaborated in its production, and is equipped with a 720 Wh 36-volt Integra battery. In addition, it has a 180 mm fork and the frame is made of aluminum and carbon.
The power unit consists of a 36-volt, 250-watt, 90 Nm Brose S-MAG motor. The brand claims the drive is "powerful, fast and smooth" on almost any surface and features four driving modes - ECO, TOUR, SPORT and BOOST.
Audi's director in the UK, Andrew Doyle, pointed out the manufacturer's commitment to "sustainable premium mobility" in statements to the media. He added that "it's another fantastic example of how we can extend our mobility offering to customers".
A bike designed to handle almost anything
Although it is a "robust" enduro bike, Audi claims that it can also cope with other types of needs; in particular, they emphasize that it can be used for cycle touring.
Details of the e-Tron's geometry are unknown, although the brand assures that the position adopted on the bike is "relaxed and comfortable".
The brakes are one of the components they are most proud of. The bike has 220 mm front and 200 mm rear discs. It also has a dropper post, Ohlins shock and SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed rear derailleur.
As for the wheels, the e-Tron is fitted with Mavic E-DEEMAX wheels. The tyres have a mullet configuration (29" front and 27.5" rear) that combines with a Vittoria e-Mazza and e-Martello, respectively.
