Andreu Lacondeguy returns to Mondraker 15 years later
Andreu Lacondeguy returns to ride a Mondraker fifteen years after his last stint with the Spanish brand. The winner of the 2014 Red Bull Rampage stars alongside Carlos Langelaan in the presentation campaign for the new Zendit R and S, two e-MTBs for enduro that have taken both riders to the trails of La Palma.
Andreu Lacondeguy rides with Mondraker again 15 years later
In October 2010, Lacondeguy left Kona to join Mondraker, a brand with which he would share one of the first major performances of his freeride career. Just a few days after his signing was announced, the Catalan competed in his first Red Bull Rampage with a Mondraker Summum and finished in fourth place.
That relationship lasted until the end of 2011, when he signed with YT Industries. With the German brand, he would achieve victory at the 2014 Rampage, as well as establish himself as one of the references in international freeride.

Now, Mondraker has once again called on him to present the new Zendit R and S, and Lacondeguy himself acknowledges that riding a bike from the brand brings back memories of that time.
"My first Rampage was with a Summum, the bike that brought me back to freeride. I am very excited to ride a Mondraker again", he explains.

For Lacondeguy, used to freeride bikes and big jumps, adapting to the Zendit seems to have been easy. As he explains, he hardly had to modify the bike's settings during the shoot.
"The feeling has been perfect. I knew the bike was good. On the first day of shooting, I didn't even change the handlebars and hardly made any adjustments, but the bike was perfect", he assures.
Two new Mondraker Zendit starting at 6,499 euros
The collaboration coincides with the expansion of the Zendit range, Mondraker's e-MTB enduro platform equipped with the Avinox M2S assistance system.

The new Zendit R and S maintain the Stealth Air Carbon front triangle of the higher models but incorporate an aluminum swingarm to reduce their price. Both share an 800 Wh battery, Forward Geometry, and the ZERO suspension system, with 170 mm of front travel and 165 mm at the rear. They also retain the mullet configuration, with a 29-inch front wheel and a 27.5-inch rear wheel.
The Mondraker Zendit R is priced at 7,499 euros, while the Zendit S is set at 6,499 euros.
"The combination of the motor's power and the geometry makes it very fun to ride", comments Lacondeguy after his experience in La Palma.
For now, the presence of the Catalan has been announced as part of this presentation campaign. Mondraker has not confirmed that the reunion will result in a new sponsorship contract or that Lacondeguy will continue to be linked to the brand beyond this collaboration.
