Mondraker cuts ties with Edgar Carballo
In a statement issued this Monday, Mondraker indicates that “fully respects the process and conclusions reached by the UCI” and, consequently, has decided to end its relationship with Carballo immediately. The company does not rule out taking additional measures based on the resolutions that may result from future investigations.
The CEO of the company, Miguel Pina, emphasizes that Mondraker “firmly believes in protecting the integrity of cycling and ensuring that everyone can enjoy this sport in a safe, inclusive, and free of any form of harassment environment”.
The brand has taken the opportunity in its statement to support the work of the UCI in protecting cyclists and to remind of the existence of the UCI SpeakUp platform, a confidential and secure channel to report any situation that jeopardizes the safety or dignified treatment of participants.
