Zipp expands its catalog with the new 202 NSW, a model developed to perform at its best on the most demanding mountain terrains without sacrificing efficiency on the rest of the course. This launch is positioned in the highest segment of the brand and concentrates much of its development on the reduction of weight without compromising stiffness or aerodynamics.
Less than 1,100 grams and a 35 mm profile, this is the new Zipp 202 NSW
One of the most relevant data points is the declared weight of 1,090 grams for the complete set, including valves and rim tape. This not only confirms that it is the lightest road wheelset Zipp has ever produced, but it also represents a significant leap compared to the previous generation, which weighed around 1,460 grams. The reduction of more than 350 grams marks a clear difference in terms of rotational mass, especially in prolonged climbing scenarios.
Although its natural terrain is the climbs, the design is not limited to climbing fast. The 35 mm rim profile introduces an aerodynamic component that allows for maintaining speed in sections prior to the climb and, above all, provides stability in descents.
