Zipp 1ZERO HITOP SW TyreWiz 2.0: new XC and Trail wheels with integrated pressure control system

Wheel manufacturer Zipp debuts its current range of wheels for XC and light Trail with these new Zipp 1ZERO HITOP SW and S TyreWiz 2.0. A wheelset made of carbon with HITOP technology that results in a fast, lightweight and lifetime warranty model that includes SRAM's TyreWiz 2.0 pressure control system.

The new Zipp 1ZERO HITOP have been designed for a wide range of use from competition Cross Country to light trail, for both hardtail and full suspension mountain bikes with up to 130mm of travel. Because as the manufacturer explains: "No longer is it good enough for an XC wheelset to be stiff above all else" and Zipp has paid special attention to the absorption on the trail of this new set.

The key to the performance of the new 1ZERO HITOP lies in Zipp's patented HITOP carbon layup technology, with which the rim is manufactured, along with its 21.2 mm deep and 30 mm wide internal design.

The SW and S models share the same rim, frame and carbon fiber type. The result is that the 'SW' model with one of the lightest hubset on the market, the ZM2 SL, is 170g lighter than the 'S' model.

TyreWiz 2.0 System

The Zipp 1ZERO HITOP SW and S include the TyreWiz 2.0 tyre pressure monitoring system. SRAM's smart valve has been redesigned to offer greater accuracy and compatibility with different rim depths and to provide accurate pressure data in real time.

The TyreWiz 2.0 system uses LED lights to indicate when tyre pressure is outside the user-set range to alert of low or high pressure. In addition, TyreWiz 2.0 connects to the SRAM AXS app for personalized tyre and pressure recommendations.

The Quarq TyreWiz 2.0 kit is priced at 135€ and includes 2 presta valve sensors with corresponding batteries.
