New Wilier Adlar, carbon fiber frame ready for bikepacking and adventure

The Italian manufacturer Wilier has just presented the new Adlar, a very versatile carbon fiber frame bike, perfect for big trips and bikepacking adventures.

With the experience and perspective of competition models, such as the Rave SLR or the versatile Jena, Jaroon and Jareen, Wilier presents its new Adlar. A gravel bike focused on bikepacking for explorers and touring cyclists.

The frame structure and geometry have been studied to achieve a set capable of riding with up to 35 kg of additional load without sacrificing stiffness, comfort or integration.

The frame of the new Wilier Adlar weighs 1,100 g and is available in 5 sizes ranging from XS to XL. As for its geometry, it is clearly inspired by current mountain bike sizes with a long reach and a 70° head angle. In addition, the wheel arch allows for gravel tyres up to 52mm or mountain tyres up to 29x2".

The down tube, thanks to the single chainring drivetrain, has been carefully shaped to become a sort of integrated mudguard.

Although it arrives with a rigid fork, prepared for dynamo cabling, this bike can mount up to a 40 mm suspension fork, compatible with 1" 1/4 - 1" 1/2 tapered steerer, without changing the geometry. In addition, the 27.2 mm seatpost allows a wide range of dropper posts to be mounted.

The Wilier Adlar may be considered a versatile gravel bike, but it's its large carrying capacity and numerous details and attachments for bags and racks that make it a true touring bike. The front and rear racks support the weight of bags on thru axles that run through the frame and fork, resulting in less structural stress and greater maneuverability. The large number of attachment points throughout the bike ensure stability and allow mounting of all types of bags and a third bottle cage.

Among its most recommended accessories, there are the guards (which can be purchased separately) and a set of fast-fixing bags manufactured in collaboration with Miss Grape.
