The Montréal World Championships move on to the road races: dates, schedule and TV
The 2026 Road Cycling World Championship will take place in Montreal from September 20 to 27 and will award 13 rainbow jerseys across the Junior, Under-23, and Elite categories. Here are all the dates and times, converted to CEST time, as well as the options available to follow the races live.
The World Championships reach the halfway point: the time trials are over, now it’s time for the road races
The 2026 Montréal World Championships reach the halfway point after three days of individual time trials and the Mixed Relay. Wednesday 23 September will be the only rest day of the championships, before the second half of the programme gets underway on Thursday.
From now on, the time trials make way entirely for the road races. The U23 and Junior riders will kick off the road-race programme on Thursday and Friday, while the weekend is reserved for the two major Elite events: the women’s race on Saturday and the men’s race on Sunday.
Where to watch the Montreal 2026 World Championship for free
The World Championship can be followed for free in Spain through Teledeporte and RTVE Play. RTVE has confirmed coverage of the Road Cycling World Championships as part of its sports programming in September. Dates and times of the Montreal 2026 Cycling World Championship
All times are converted to Spanish mainland time. During the championship, there will be a six-hour difference between Montreal and Spain.
