Watch out for this wild prototype of the "Extreme Lefty" fork
Ian Moore is the current Product Manager at Cannondale but above his position, he is a passionate cyclist. The best example is the unique setup he has designed and built for his Moterra SL. A powerful eBike equipped with a wild prototype Lefty fork.
Ian Moore designs and builds an "Extreme Lefty" for his Cannondale Moterra SL
Far from being the typical Texan, Ian is not a rancher or cowboy. His life revolves around bicycles, and although he is originally from Southern California, he has settled in Texas, where he has found the perfect space to unleash his creativity.
To understand this creation, one must first consider Moore's characteristic punk rock style and unconventional personality, which is why he has created such an aggressive eBike like this Cannondale Moterra SL.

His goal was to create the lightest possible eMTB without sacrificing its capability. To achieve this, each component has been meticulously selected to achieve this balance, with the exception of a key detail: the "Extreme Lefty" prototype.
This "Lefty" prototype is Ian's distinctive touch, a showcase of the advantages his work at Cannondale offers him. This long-travel fork is undoubtedly the most special component of this Moterra SL.
In the video, Ian Moore provides little technical information about the fork, but explains that this Lefty is a combination of the current Lefty Ocho and the old Lefty Super Max (it had double stanchions and up to 160mm of travel).
For those dreaming of getting their hands on one of these "Extreme Lefty" forks, Ian is clear in the video saying that "it will never ever go into production." But if you want a glimmer of hope, Cannondale has softened the message by saying that if it ever hits the market, it certainly won't be in the short term.
