Vingegaard aims for the Giro 2025
The speculations continue about the calendar that the big cycling stars will face throughout the 2025 season. The latest to be affected by the rumors is Jonas Vingegaard, who is already being placed at the start of the 2025 Giro d'Italia.
The priority is the Tour but Vingegaard leaves the door open to participate in the 2025 Giro d'Italia
A few days ago, Jonas Vingegaard gave an interview to the Danish channel TV2 and, obviously, they asked him about the planning of his next season. A question that arises at a time when many are betting on his presence in the Giro d'Italia.
Far from denying these rumors, Jonas Vingegaard expressed interest, "I have read in several places that I will race the Giro d'Italia, so... maybe I will". However, he later clarified that the priority is the Tour de France, so they would only include the Giro if it is clear that it is a good preparation for the Tour and if he sees possibilities of winning it.

It is curious that, after Tadej Pogacar showed that it is possible to perform at the highest level in both the Giro and the Tour, his two main rivals: Vingegaard and Evenepoel, are considering including this race in their calendar in 2025, just in the year when, presumably, Tadej Pocacar will not defend his maglia rosa in favor of La Vuelta, the grand tour missing from his palmares.
In any case, Jonas Vingegaard made it clear that nothing has been decided yet and, as is usual, it is during the team's training camps held in December where the calendars of the different cyclists of the team are defined. Only then will we know for sure if we will see him at the Grande Partenza of the 2025 Giro d'Italia.
