The XCC World Cup 2026 already has champions. Lake Placid hosted the last Short Track of the season under the rain and on a circuit that many described as fun, but the conditions did not prevent the two Elite races from offering a very competitive finish.

In the women's race, Martina Berta confirmed her extraordinary end of the season. After winning XCC and XCO in Soldier Hollow, the Italian also triumphed in Lake Placid after attacking on the last lap and surpassing Jenny Rissveds in the final meters. Sina Frei finished third, a result sufficient to take the overall title of the XCC World Cup 2026.

The men's race began with the last-minute withdrawal of Mathis Azzaro, which mathematically left Luca Martin the overall XCC title even before the start was given.
The victory went to Martin Vidaurre. The Chilean broke away with Luca Schwarzbauer in the second half of the race and attacked the German on the last lap to cross the finish line alone. It was his first victory in an XCC Elite World Cup, just two weeks after winning the XCO in Soldier Hollow.
