Van der Poel debuts a new Canyon Aeroad at the Tour
Beautiful Canyon Aeroad CFR that the German brand has prepared for Mathieu van der Poel with a tremendously striking color scheme that contrasts with the designs that Canyon usually offers. A customization that seems to serve to hide what appears to be an update of this model and that, we hope, will soon be revealed by the Coblenza firm.
Spectacular rainbow customization of Canyon for Mathieu van der Poel
The Tour de France, the most important race in the world, is reason enough for many cyclists to receive personalized bikes from the brands that are making waves in cycling circles. And of course, nothing is more iconic than the World Champion jersey that Mathieu van der Poel is wearing this season, for whom Canyon has decorated a bike for this Tour de France with a tremendously attractive design.
On a base of white paint, the colors of the rainbow stripes that identify the World Cycling Champion run diagonally across the entire bike, but not with solid paint but with a subtle design made as if with splashes of paint that makes the stripes blurred in the whole but completely recognizable.

Furthermore, Mathieu van der Poel's Canyon Aeroad hides other details such as the data of distance, time, speed, elevation, distance escaped, etc. of the Dutch cyclist in the Glasgow race that earned him the world title.
The Selle Italia Flite Boost Kit Carbonio Superflow saddle cannot be missing in the customization, a model that has been accompanying Mathieu van der Poel for many years and that also receives the pertinent rainbow decoration.
However, this bike hides other novelties and everything points to it being a prototype of the next version of the Canyon Aeroad, which, for example, was also used by the Movistar Team cyclists in the last edition of the Critérium du Dauphiné. A new model with subtle changes compared to the one we can currently acquire and that would incorporate some improvements in aerodynamics such as more elaborate transitions between the seat tube and seat stays or the fork and frame dropouts blind on their right side to also scratch some wind resistance.
Of course, Canyon has not commented on this despite the fact that we could have expected its official presentation to have been at the beginning of the Tour de France as other brands have done such as Pinarello with its new Dogma F or Trek with the spectacular Madone Gen8. Therefore, we will have to continue speculating and trying to guess what other improvements this evolution of Canyon's star model hides.
