Mathieu Van der Poel started his first Tour de France with the idea of winning a stage, but on the second day his intentions were multiplied during the race and he managed not only to win the stage but also to take the lead and wear the yellow jersey. Something his father had already done, but not his grandfather, Raymond Poulidor.
