The UCI announces the World Tour Calendar 2025
Although there is still a good part of the 2024 season left, we already have a calendar for the next campaign that was approved by the UCI during the last meeting of its Executive Committee, which met between June 10 and 12 at the headquarters of the cycling's governing body located in the Swiss city of Aigle.
The 2025 season will kick off on January 17 with the Tour Down Under
During the month of May, together with the organizers, the UCI has been working on the calendar for the 2025 season. Dates that were communicated to the Professional Cycling Council, an organization that gave its approval on May 29. Now, after the meeting of the UCI Executive Committee, the final approval of the World Tour calendar for the 2024 campaign takes place.

The meeting of the UCI Executive Committee also served to introduce some regulatory modifications, among which one that significantly affects women's cycling stands out and is a clear example of its growth in recent years. This is the introduction of the Pro Team category as the second tier of women's cycling teams. As in the men's category, a period of 3 years of validity of the Women's World Tour licenses will be established, starting the first cycle in the year 2026 until 2028.
