UCI World Tour 2026 Calendar
Just a few days ago, the UCI presented the final calendar for the 2026 season. A calendar that includes, as the main big change, the reduction of the number of stages of the Tour de Suisse, which goes from 8 to 5 stages and will be held in parallel with its women's version. In addition, there is the already known name change of the Critérium du Dauphiné, which will be called the Tour de Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes. Also changing its name is the classic Brugge-De Panne, which will now be called The Great Sprint Classic.
The 2026 World Tour will start on January 20th
The 2025 season is coming to an end, but before closing it definitively and starting to think about cyclocross, the UCI has revealed the cycling calendar for 2026, which, as usual, will start in Australia with the Santos Tour Down Under on January 20th and will end on October 18th at the Tour de Guangxi.

Beyond the World Tour. Other races
In addition to the top category events, we also find other relevant races on the calendar that have undergone changes. In the Spanish calendar, the most relevant change is the date change of O Gran Camiño, which moves its celebration date from February to mid-April, maintaining its 2.1 category. On the other hand, the Terres de l'Ebre classic moves from being held in July to March. Also interesting is the change of the Vuelta a Murcia, which, as its name indicates, was traditionally a stage race but, for organizational and budget reasons, had been a one-day race for years. In 2026, this race will be held over two days.
Furthermore, at the international level, there are several races that change categories, gaining in importance. The most relevant is the AlUla Tour, which moves up from category 2.1 to 2.Pro, as does the Tour of the Czech Republic. There are also some races that did not take place in 2025 and return to the calendar, as well as older ones that are also making a comeback. Among them, the Vuelta a Colombia stands out, which will have a 2.1 category and will take place in February. Another interesting race is the Giro di Sardegna, which will take place in the last week of February.
