Although the most important goals of this season are yet to be achieved - five XCO World Cups, the Olympics, and the World Championships - the UCI is already working on organizing the next competitive year. In general, it maintains a continuity in terms of dates and race planning, although it also introduces some novelties such as an increase in XCO and DH World Cups.

According to the provisional calendar, the 2025 MTB season would start with the Snow Bike World Championship. This is the second edition of this innovative format which was first held in February of this year. The UCI currently sets it on an undetermined date - given the snow requirements of the specialty, it is likely to be around the same time as the 2024 edition. As for the location, it has only been revealed that it will be in Europe.
The MTB World Cup will kick off in the first two weeks of April with a double dose of XCO races and, just like this season, they will be held outside of Europe. The competition will take a break before returning to Europe in the second half of May, continue in June with three races, proceed in July and August, and leave the continent to hold the last two events of the year in October.
