Tom Pidcock wins the XCO World Cup of Andorra with another epic comeback
He's done it again. British rider Tom Pidcock (Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team) has won the XCO race of the Andorra World Cup this Sunday, signing another one of his legendary comebacks. After starting from 48th position, he put on a display of strength, technique, and strategy to take the victory after eight laps on the Andorran circuit.

Pidcock remained calm in the early stages, gradually moving up the positions until he was on the wheel of Luca Martin in the third lap. Halfway through the race, he launched his final attack on the climb before the forest, and from there he never looked back. He rode solo in the last laps, celebrating the victory on the final straight knowing that, barring a catastrophe, no one could snatch the win from him.
The young French rider Luca Martin (Cannondale Factory Racing), who had just won the national title and the Short Track on Friday, was the only one who could keep up with the British rider in the first half. However, a puncture forced him to change his wheel, losing valuable time that took him out of direct contention for the gold. Nevertheless, he managed to recover and maintain a commendable second position.
