The XCO World Champion is testing a Giant Anthem prototype in Val di Sole
Brands continue to develop new material and this time it is Giant that seems to have a new version of its Anthem Advanced Pro 29 in the works. At least that's what we can think after seeing a new prototype, made of aluminum and another in carbon, at the Val di Sole circuit.

Giant tests a new prototype of the Anthem in aluminum and carbon at the Val di Sole World Cup
The only information we have is what we can deduce from the images, but it is clear that it is a new model. The frame changes completely, and the shock absorber now changes position in what seems to be an evolution of the FlexPoint Pro rear suspension system towards a lighter version. This system was developed by Giant to make the leap from the Maestro system to the current single pivot, but in this leaked version, the rocker arm looks even more minimalist in line with current XCO trends.

As we said, we have seen two versions of this prototype in Val di Sole, one made of aluminum with which the Giant Factory Off Road team has been recognizing the circuit and another in carbon that seems to be the one Alan Hatherly will compete with, considering that it already features rainbow details on the frame.

This Friday, during the Short Track in Val di Sole, we will see if this will finally be the bike that Hahterly decides to compete with this weekend or if they have just been testing it during training.
