The world's lightest dropper post now weighs only 263 g
The Spanish brand Vertical has done it again. The specialized firm in ultralight dropper posts has presented the new Helium Race, an evolution that further reduces the weight compared to previous models and is now at an incredible 263 grams. A figure that makes it the lightest dropper post on the market.
The Vertical Helium Race takes the title of the lightest dropper post in the world
Designed in direct collaboration with figures like Tom Pidcock and Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, who competed with prototypes at the 2024 XCO World Championships in Andorra, the Helium Race has been optimized with the most demanding cyclists in mind: elite riders and weight obsessed.

The lightest version, with 320 mm in length and 60 mm of travel in diameter 30.9, weighs 263 g. Even the longest and most robust option (410 mm and 120 mm of travel in 31.6 mm) barely reaches 325 g. A comparison with other seatposts on the market clearly shows its advantage since, for example, a lightweight BikeYoke Divine SL goes up to 386 g.

The secret to its lightness lies in a set of key improvements among which stands out the new Carbolink® seat clamp system, a solution inspired by classic systems, which combines the security of a monoblock clamp with extreme minimalism: it replaces the top metal part with braided carbon strips, saving up to 14 g compared to the Helium model.

The Helium Race is offered in two diameters (30.9 and 31.6 mm) and up to seven combinations of length and travel:
